WE MADE IT!!!

We made it to Teguicigalpa after 9 hours of an overnight flight! Twenty Eight bags made it, but the air compressor got held up in LA. Since my mom is so amazing, she convinced TSA at LAX to send it on the next flight and it is here. We will be picking it up in the city tomorrow!

Yesterday we spent the entire day unpacking and setting up the clinic. We have 3 fully functional chairs up and running, but tomorrow we will hopefully have 5 once the new air compressor gets here.

We also were able to see 2 patients yesterday and tested out all of our equipment. Everything worked out great, thanks to Dr.Patterson´s ingenious set up and a little bit of luck.

Last night we had a power outage from about 7pm-11pm. Since the mission´s water supply runs via a pump from a well, having a power outage meant that we also did not have running water! We were definitely roughing it, but it was fun to go to mass by candle light, eat chinese food from a restaurant around the corner by candle light, brush our teeth with bottled water and crash after a long day of hard work!
